Principles of good practice call for the use of validated measures for initial diagnoses and to monitor therapy progress. Use of psychotropic medications can be associated with changes in growth, so regular charting of height, weight and Body Mass Index (BMI) is essential. Percentile charts for BMI, height and weight can be accessed below. Administration of antipsychotic medications require regular assessment for involuntary movements, and the AIMS can be accessed below. Furthermore, many practice parameters call for use of standardized symptom assessment questionnaires. Publicly available questionnaires for common symptoms, including ADHD symptoms, anxiety, depression, mania, OCD and tic disorders can be accessed below.
